DeepDrive‘s patented Dual Rotor technology increases vehicle range by up to 20% and significantly decreases their costs, enabling the next generation of cheaper, more sustainable EVs. Their drive units are highly compact and torque dense and can be integrated within the wheels or as a traditional central drive. You will join our team of mechanical engineers, working to develop radically innovative technologies; getting them on the streets in cost, in quality and in time, always keeping in mind what our customers need. For this position specifically, we are looking for someone who will, in acquisition phases, pivot from the typical daily mechanical engineering tasks and focus on related acquisition and customer interface topics.

YOUR TASKS

  • Development of concept studies for our in-wheel and central drive solutions
  • Engaging with suppliers to procure, evaluate and select specific components, incl. design approvals
  • Documenting, testing, simulating and calculating validation of designs
  • Supporting prototype manufacturing and industrialisation of mechanical and electrical components
  • Be the first engineering contact for customers, engaging with them as a technical expert and participating in fulfilling requests
  • Relationship management and high level of customer touchpoints throughout acquisition
  • Development of a deep understanding of customer needs and requirements
  • Close collaboration with sales team members at DeepDrive

YOUR PROFILE

  • Graduated from a Bachelor or Master program with a engineering background, such as mechanical, electrical or equivalent
  • Experience in design of electronic components for the Automotive industry
  • Knowledge of electronic components and great CAD skills
  • Experience in mechanical and/or thermal simulation
  • Hands-on mentality and flexibility to perform different tasks
  • Eager to push the boundaries in a dynamic work environment
  • Team player willing to go out of your way to help others
  • Solid skills in English and German
