Let’s take a walk down memory lane as we gather some of the milestones DeepDrive achieved in the past six months! From securing significant funding and advancing our motor technology, refreshing our brand and expanding globally to recently winning the award for „Munich’s best Startup 2023“, it’s been an exhilarating ride.
 

Series A Funding Success

In March, we successfully closed our Series A funding round, co-led by leading automotive investors BMW i Ventures and Continental’s Corporate Venture Unit. The funding round raised €15 million, with support from existing investors UVC Partners and Bayern Kapital, along with our business angels Dr. Peter Mertens, automotive industry veteran and former board member of Audi and Volvo, and Jonas Rieke, COO of Personio, continue to support our vision.
 

Technology DeepDive

The DeepDrive DeepDive series took viewers on a journey, revealing the key to unlocking unprecedented efficiencies in electric mobility. DeepDrive’s patented Dual Rotor, Radial Flux motor technology challenges conventional wisdom and promises to reshape the future of electric vehicles. Check out the series:

RM300 Validation Tests

We achieved a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to advance our motor technology for large-scale series production. Our focus on durability has been paramount, leading us to conduct early and incremental tests on our prototypes.
We are proud to share that the first of several planned validation tests of our RM300 (check out the Datasheet) have been successfully concluded! These tests included Thermal Shock, Vibration Test, and Powered Thermal Cycle, all of which our drive units successfully demonstrated exceptional performance and resilience. These rigorous trials not only confirmed the robustness of our system but also provided valuable insights for further development. Minor design optimizations derived from the tests are already shaping our path towards optimization.
 

Refreshed Brand and Website

We unveiled our refreshed brand, which also includes a slighty adapted logo reflecting both the young and wild motorsport spirit and the professional and rational side gained from years of automotive industry experience. The accompanying new website aligns with the vision of addressing the world’s challenges through disruptive technology.

Team Expansion

We scaled up our team to nearly 50 employees, drawing expertise from various automotive industry backgrounds. The team includes professionals in engineering, quality management, and other key functional areas. This expansion positionsus to drive innovation and deliver groundbreaking solutions for the future of mobility.

Global Expansion and Partnerships

We actively deepened our business relationships worldwide, extending our reach beyond Europe. Participating in key events and destinations such as the CTI Symposium in the USA, a business trip to Chennai in India, and exhibitions in Tokyo and Shanghai, we opened doors to new opportunities and valuable partnerships. The upcoming technology roadshow to Asia promises further possibilities for global expansion.
